Solar Power Asset Management Supervisor

About the role

Oversee power plant operations, maintenance, and asset management to maximize performance, increase revenue, and optimize operational costs.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Present operational and maintenance plans for power plants, including asset management processes, asset reporting, and operational performance analysis. Identify key issues, root causes, and recommended solutions to senior management.
  • Review project operation reports and documentation to ensure production targets are achieved and all regulatory requirements are fully complied with. Manage the reporting cycle to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial, operational, and contractual obligations.
  • Recommend contract modifications and proactively manage contracts, ensuring that contractors fulfill all contractual obligations, including O&M contracts, security guard service contracts, supply contracts, and supply warranty contracts.
  • Provide solutions to daily operational and corrective maintenance issues. Monitor and analyze power plant performance on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Provide advice, manage, communicate, and coordinate with key stakeholders, including banks, contractors, PPA service providers, landowners, insurance companies, board members, and shareholders.
  • Develop and present long-term maintenance strategies for assigned assets. Manage maintenance contract improvements and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, increase revenue, and reduce project management costs. Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to optimize tax and financing costs as appropriate.
  • Review and monitor improvement projects, repowering projects, and other initiatives aimed at increasing revenue and reducing project management costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in power plant management. Experience in the solar cell/solar energy business will be highly preferred.
  • Experience in Solar O&M will be an advantage.
  • Strong management, analytical, and systematic thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
