PRIME won the bidding for the National Solar Park project in Kampong Chang, Cambodia with installed capacity of 77 MW and will COD 60 MW in Q4, 2022.

Prime Road Power Public Company Limited (PRIME), a leading company in the renewable energy business won the bidding for the National Solar Park project at the end of 2019, with installed and contracted capacity of 77 MW and COD 60 MW respectively. The project is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and 4 other financial institutions and represents one of the largest single site solar power plants in Cambodia.

The power was switched on by Mr Masatsugu Asakawa, the President of Asian Development Bank and H.E. Keo Rottanak, a Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s office and the Managing Director of Electricite du Cambodge

On 11th November 2022, the plant achieved first synchronization and commenced sending clean power to the Cambodian grid. The power was switched on by Mr Masatsugu Asakawa, the President of Asian Development Bank and H.E. Keo Rottanak, a Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s office and the Managing Director of Electricite du Cambodge. This switching on represents a supply of 60 MW of clean solar power generated in Kampong Chang province delivering clean, affordable and reliable energy to Phnom Penh and its surrounding areas. The project is scheduled to achieve Commercial Operation Date by Q4/2022
